On January 21, 2017, an estimated 500,000 people rallied to Washington D.C. to demonstrate for women's rights and diversity. Metro trains were filled to capacity and stations were shut down due to over-crowded conditions.
A day of peaceful demonstrations, colorful signs, a sea of pink pussy hats, and gridlocked streets as numbers swelled to an unanticipated size.
